Here we have an obscure 60's gem of proto-metal/hard rock. Randy Holden was pretty much a Guitar God, back in the 60's. You'll probably most remember him from his brief role in Blue Cheer, or The Other Half, if at all.
Anyway, this album is pretty much riffs and some fantastic drumming by Chris Lockheed, with some breathy singing by Randy. But don't be fooled, the focus is on the guitar playing. In short, Randy Holden > Jimi Hendrix
